Karen A. Ruby

Karen A. Ruby, 59, of Lancaster Township, passed away Wednesday, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 18, 1957, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Leonard J. and Mildred Luteran Brittner.

Karen was a member of the Grace Church of Harmony. She enjoyed cross-stitching and cheering on the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Steelers. Above all, she loved taking care of her family. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, John L. Ruby; her children, Marsha L. Ruby and her fiancé, Justin Buchignani, of Harmony, and Robert J. Ruby and his fiancé, Gail Lash, of Bonaire, Ga.; her grandchildren, Meghan and Bryan Lash; her great-grandson, Jordan Palm; her brothers, Frederick (Linda) Brittner, of Emlenton, and Kenneth (Claudia) Fleet, of Florida; her sisters-in-law, Pink Ruby, Neva McClymonds, Linda Brittner and Sandy (Ron) Rust; her brothers-in-law, Wayne Ruby, Donald Ruby and Kenneth Kline; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Collin, Rowan, Kendall, Brinlee and Blake Mansfield; other nieces and nephews; and one special young lady, Emily Jean Bintrim.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard “Buck” and Thomas W. Brittner; her sister, Susan Kline; and two brothers-in-law, Edward Ruby and John McClymonds.

RUBY — Friends of Karen A. Ruby, who died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter J. Everett, pastor, officiating.

Karen will be laid to rest at the Grace Church Cemetery in Harmony.
