Robert D. Robinson Sr., 78, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, in Butler Memorial Hospital following health complications.

Born in Isle on Jan. 9, 1943, he was the son of the late William D. and Mary E. Martsolf Robinson.

Baptist by faith, he had attended the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

He drove a truck and was an auto mechanic and service manager for R.W. McDonalds.

He is survived by his daughter, Sherry (David) Fountain of Portersville; grandchildren, Tyler Fountain of Sabinsville, Abby Fountain of Zelienople, Misty Hogan of Butler, Todd “TJ” Robinson of Scottsdale, Ariz., Kristi Cross of Butler, Kelly Cross of Slippery Rock, and Klint (Megan Smouse) Cross of Augusta, Ga.; and great-grandchildren Hendrix, Xelina, and Xolani Cross, Soren and Orsen Cross, and Logan Cross.

He is also survived by his brother, William “Bill” (Donna) Robinson of Flat Rock, N.C.; his sister, Carol (Gene) Fehl of Prospect; and a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Robinson Jr.; daughter, Dee Ann Cross; granddaughter, Megan Fountain; and his brother, John “Jack” Robinson.
