Historical society presents awards
ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Historical Society presented three awards for historic preservation.
Jan Maharg received the Angel Award for her yearlong effort to coordinate repainting and restoration of the interior of Zelienople’s oldest structure, the 1805 Christian Buhl House. The society uses the house as a museum site.
Robert Householder received the Legacy Award for his continued, long-term efforts to retain and restore several buildings on Main Street.
Andrew Beneigh of Beneigh Insurance received the Preservation Award for efforts to retain the original elements of structure in their recently restored office at 106 S. Main St.
