Peoples TWP gas donated $1,000 to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Butler County through its new program.

A check for $1,000 was presented at Cummings’ Coffee & Candy Shop as part of the Peoples’ Eat, Drink, Help Program.

For every coffee bought at Cummings, Peoples donated 50 cents to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

Barry Cummings also is giving $200 to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

[naviga:h3]Scouts to benefit from NexTier win[/naviga:h3]

PENN TWP — The Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau on June 24 had the third annual Butler County Bankers Golf Challenge at Suncrest Golf Course.

The winning team was NexTier Bank. The proceeds went to the winning team’s charity of choice, which is the Moraine Trails Council Boy Scouts of America. This year the event raised $3,000.

The challenge has raised more than $12,000 for county charities.
