A Sept. 2 wedding is being planned by Rachel Cubbage of Butler and Scott Burd of Mercer.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Alan and Lauren Cubbage of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Bob and Joyce Burd of Butler.

The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Moniteau High School and the Butler Vocational Technical School, where she studied cosmetology. She is currently employed at NexTier Bank in Butler.

Her fiancé graduated in 1995 from Butler High School and in 2001 from Slippery Rock University. He works at U.S. Investigations Services in Grove City.
