A June 30 wedding is being planned by Jennifer McConnell and Jay Rose, both of Carnegie.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Donald and Judy McConnell of Slippery Rock. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Melissa Rose, Mark Rose and Pat Rose, all of Michigan.

The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Slippery Rock High School, a 2001 graduate of Slippery Rock University and a 2005 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She is employed by Peters Township in Washington County.

Her fiancé graduated from high school in 2001 in Waterford, Mich. A veteran of the Navy, he was discharged in 2005. He is currently attending Robert Morris University while employed at Pressley Ridge Home Places.
