Nelson, Slano

A June 17 wedding is being planned by Michelle Slano and James Nelson, both of Silver Spring, Md.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Joe and Jackie Slano of Saxonburg. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Dave and Sue Nelson of Wexford.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Knoch High School and a 2005 graduate of Penn State University, earning a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering. She works for HSMM in Washington, D.C.

Her fiancé graduated in 2000 from North Allegheny High School and in 2004 from Penn State University, earning a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. He works at Ritchie Park Elementary School in Montgomery County, Md.
