Walter Davis
Walter Lawrence Davis, 69, of Butler passed away Sunday at his home.
Born June 30, 1946, in Butler, he was a son of the late Walter Linn Davis and Georgie May Gibson Davis.
He was an industrial meter repairman for the T.W. Phillips Gas and Oil Co., retiring in 2009 after 41 years of service. He was also employed at Armco Steel for 10 years.
He was a member of Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pat Vero Davis, who he married June 30, 1978; one daughter, Mindy Davis Zielinski and her husband, Tim, of Cranberry Township; one son, Spencer Lynn Davis and his wife, Christine, of Grove City; one brother, James L. Davis, of Long Island, N.Y.; and one sister-in-law, Marilyn Davis, of Yardley, Pa.
He also is survived by five grandchildren, Chelsie Lin Walker and her husband, Aaron, Dori Zielinski, Isaac Zielinski, Maggie Zielinski, and Ashley Davis; one godson, Ernie Francestine and his wife, Maddy, of Pittsburgh; a number of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and his cat, Crosby.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Davis, and one sister-in-law, Alice Davis.
DAVIS — Friends of Walter Lawrence Davis, who died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church.
