A May 6 wedding is being planned by Kathy Ray of Butler and Harry Pifer IIIof Ellwood City.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Robert and Shirley Ray of Portersville. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Patricia Pifer of Ellwood City and the late Harry Pifer Jr.

The bride-elect is a 1987 graduate of Slippery RockHigh School. She attended Butler County Community College and graduated in 2005 from Point Park University with a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice.

Her fiancé graduated in 1981from Riverside High School, the Beaver County Vocational- Technical School and Army basic training. In 2005, he graduated from All-State Career School. He is employed by Advanced Polymer Technology in Harmony.
