Shurig, Nowakowski
An Aug. 19 wedding is being planned by Melissa Shurig and David Nowakowski, both of Charlotte, N.C.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jerry and Lynne Shurig of Concord, N.C. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Dean and Sharon Nowakowski and Al and Cheri Grenek, all of Butler.
The bride-elect graduated in 1993 from Central Cabarrus High School, in 1997 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a bachelor of arts degree; and in 1999 from the Carolinas College of Health Science, earning an associate of applied science degree in nursing. She works for the Carolinas Health Care System in Charlotte.
Her fiancé graduated in 1994 from Butler High School and in 2000 from ITTTechnical Institute, earning a bachelor of science degree. He works for USLEC in Charlotte.
