Twins turn triple play
ANAHEIM, Calif. — The Minnesota Twins turned their first triple play in 11 years during the fourth inning of their game against the Los Angeles Angels.
The Twins made the feat look easy Thursday after Los Angeles’ Albert Pujols and Yunel Escobar opened the inning with singles.
Third baseman Miguel Sano fielded Jefry Marte’s sharp grounder right near the bag, stepped on the base and threw quickly to second baseman Bryant Dozier, whose throw to first comfortably beat Marte.
