Beckert, Whitling

A July 7 wedding is being planned by Jennifer Beckert of Butler and Thomas Whitling Jr. of Wexford.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bob and Sandy Beckert of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Sandy Whitling of Butler and the late Tom Whitling.

The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Mars High School. She is currently completing degrees in elementary and special education at Slippery Rock University. She also works at Atria's Restaurant and Tavern in Wexford.

Her fiancé graduated in 1999 from Knoch High School and in 2006 from the Community College of Allegheny County, earning a degree in radiology and MRI. He works as an MRI technologist in the radiology department of Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.
