McGroarty, Whittenberger

An Oct. 20 wedding is being planned by Phoenix residents Shawnda Whittenberger and Michael McGroarty.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dena and Bill Hochbein of Saxonburg and Keith Whittenberger of Prospect. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Michael and Karen McGroarty of Pittsburgh.

The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Knoch High School and a 2002 graduate of Indiana (Pa.) University, earning a bachelor of science degree in education. She works for the Avondale School District in Avondale, Ariz.

Her fiancé graduated in 1998 from Upper St. Clair High School and in 2002 from Ohio University, earning a bachelor of science degree in communications. He works for Verizon Wireless in Glendale, Ariz.
