William S. Fisher
William “Bill” S. Fisher, 86, of Renfrew passed away Friday afternoon at Butler Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
Born on Jan. 9, 1929, in Renfrew, he was the son of the late Lewis and Bertha Nicklas Fisher.
Bill and his wife were looking to June 18 of this year, as they would celebrate 66 years of marriage. They were married June 18, 1949, in Connoquenessing, and Bill's wife, the former Jane Covert, survives.
Bill retired in 1991 from AK Steel, formerly known as Armco at Butler operation. He was employed for 39 years. He was a member of Connoquenessing United Methodist Church.
Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and country western music.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Jane, are four children, Linda (Alan) Rhodes of Butler, William (Pam) Fisher of Prospect, Cindy (Rick) Bayer of Butler and Amy Schnebel of Maitland, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Robert (Bonnie) Fisher of Renfrew.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
FISHER — Visitation for William S. “Bill” Fisher, who died Friday, April 3, 2015, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery.
