Lowell and Janie Wetzel

Lowell and Janie Wetzel of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a river cruise in Europe.

Wetzel married the former Janie Hockenberry July 16, 1955, in the Homer City United Presbyterian Church in Homer City.

The Wetzels have three children, Wanda Davison and her companion, Pryor, Steven (Diane) Wetzel and Kendra (Brian) Rommel.

They also have seven grandchildren.

Wetzel retired from the Butler School District where he taught art for 34 years and was an assistant athletic director for 27 years.

The Wetzels love to camp, travel and entertain their grandchildren.

They are members of Covenant United Presbyterian Church in Butler.
