Jane V. Biswanger
Jane V. Biswanger, 89, of Newtown Square, Pa., formerly of Slippery Rock, died June 14.
The beloved wife of the late Dr. Raymond A. Biswan-ger Jr. and the dear sister of Marjorie Vowler and the late Lois Johann, Jane was born July 25, 1927, in Philadelphia. She went to Edgewood Park Junior College in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., and began her career at Sun Oil Co. in Philadelphia.
After her marriage, Jane was primarily a homemaker and raised three boys Ray III (Susan), Stephen and Scott. She was a member of the Slippery Rock United Methodist Church, and for a time, she worked at the university's book store.
Her husband was a professor of English at Slippery Rock State College. She and her husband enjoyed traveling during their retirement years. She moved to Havertown, Pa., in 2007 to be closer to her family and entered Dunwoody Village in Newtown Square a few years later. She was a member of the Narberth Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her three sons, Jane is survived by four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
BISWANGER — Interment of Jane V. Biswanger, who died Wednesday, June 14, 2017, will be July 28 at the Valley Forge Memorial Gardens in King of Prussia, Pa., with the Rev. Steve Weed presiding.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Frank C. Videon Funeral Home, Broomall, Pa.
