Dale L. Stalker
Dale L. “Duke” Stalker, 84, of Eau Claire passed away Monday afternoon Dec. 28, 2020, at UPMC West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh following a lengthy period of declining health.
He was born June 4, 1936, in Venango Township, and was the son of the late Lee and Maude Young Stalker.
Dale was married Aug. 25, 1956, to Gayle Hutchison, who survives. They had recently celebrated 64 years of marriage.
Dale was a graduate of Concord High School in Hooker.
He was employed at Mercer Limestone as a machine maintenance operator for over 40 years, and had retired in 1998.
He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Eau Claire, F&AM Lodge 521 of Parker, and the New Castle Consistory.
Duke was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1962, having served with the 54th Infantry at Fort Knox, Ky. He was a light weapons infantryman.Survivors include his wife; three children, Kerri (Timothy) Simon of Hilliards, Kirby (Tracey) Stalker of Boyers, and Kevin (Marlene) Stalker of Parker; a sister, Luree Kriedler; two brothers, Merle and D. Richard Stalker; and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.Dale was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Frank L., D. Joe, Jack D., Earl H. and Fred L.
