JOHNSTOWN — The Slippery Rock University women's basketball team fell behind 16-2 in the first seven minutes and dropped a 65-50 decision to Pitt-Johnstown Wednesday night.

SRU sank just four of 22 3-point shots.

Danielle Smith paced SRU (0-6) with 19 points and nine rebounds. Alex Beatty had eight points and six boards, and Emilee Vitez had six points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Sheena Aden led Pitt-Johnstown (3-4) with 15 points and eight boards.

The Rock plays Saturday against Notre Dame (Ohio) College at 2 p.m. at Morrow Field House.
