BUFFALO TWP — Freeport Senior High School will present “Back to the 80s: A Totally Awesome Musical!” at 7:30 p.m. March 14, 15 and 16.

The performances will be at the senior high, 625 S. Pike Road, Buffalo Township. Tickets are $7 ($3.50 for seniors with “Blue and Gold Cards”). Call 412-549-0191 for ticket information.

“Back to the 80s” tells the story of the 1989 graduating class of William Ocean High as seen through the eyes of the narrator, Corey Palmer Sr., who is now living in the year 2001.

The then 17-year-old Corey is madly in love with his next-door neighbor, Tiffany Houston, one of the coolest girls in the school. However, she barely notices him, as she is too busy swooning over Michael Feldman, the hottest guy around. Michael and his friends are athletic and good-looking — the kind of guys that Corey and his two best friends dream of being.

However, while they may not be the coolest guys in school, they are still above the class nerd Feargal McFerrin III, whose best friend is his computer, and who believes the crazy notion that one day CDs will replace cassette tapes.

Thomas D. Koharchik is the director, Robert Harris is the assistant director and Sara Sypolski is the choreographer.
