Easy Homemade Pizza Sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil½ cup chopped onion3 tablespoons tomato paste1 cup tomato puree1 tablespoon Dijon mustard½ teaspoon salt¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes1 teaspoon dried basil leaves1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves¼ teaspoon pepperIn small saucepan, combine olive oil and onion, and cook, stirring, until tender, about 5 minutes.Add all remaining ingredients and cook, stirring frequently, over low heat until thickened, about 15 minutes. Use as directed in pizza recipe or store, covered, in refrigerator up to 5 days.
