The Slippery Rock men's and women's soccer teams each recorded a 1-0 victory on Saturday, the women's squad a PSAC-West victory over Clarion; the men a non-conference matchup at Ohio Valley.

Juliana Howell scored on a header from a Shelby Ward crossing pass for SRU (3-1-1, 2-1-1). Sarah Lacey had four saves in ringing up her second shutout of the season.

Jeremy Deighton tallied his goal in the seventh minute to lead the men (5-1), who are ranked 17th in the Division II poll.

Benjamin Lloyd and Mitchell Walters assisted with Greg Blum and Timothy White sharing goaltending duties.
