Bald Eagles crush Rock women, 26-5

LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven women's lacrosse team remained unbeaten Wednesday by defeating Slippery Rock University 26-5.

The second-ranked Bald Eagles (14-0, 9-0) jumped out to a 13-2 lead in the first 20 minutes of play.

Emma Van Denberg led The Rock (7-9, 2-7) with a goal and an assist. Amy Halls, Alexis Slutsky, Casey Quinn and Jami Meirick had single tallies for SRU.

Leigh Titus had nine goals and two assists for Lock Haven.

The Rock hosts No. 8 Gannon at 1 p.m. Saturday at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium for the team's final game of the season. SRU senior Ashley Winkelspecht will be honored before the game.
