Matt Kosik recorded two home runs, a single and five RBI while Carter Haponski had a three-run inside-the-park homer, two singles and four RBI to lift the Slippery Rock University baseball team to an 18-9 victory over Mansfield in the PSAC Championship elimination game Thursday.

With the win, The Rock (26-22) was scheduled to face either California (Pa.) or West Chester this morning.

Slippery Rock High graduate Billy Messer had three hits and two RBI, and Matt Howard and Mitchell Monas had two hits and two RBI each.
