SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to Gannon Friday night despite making comebacks in the first and second sets.

SRU (7-14, 5-8) lost by scores of 25-21, 26-24, 25-16.

Junior outside hitter Kaylee Smith paced The Rock with 12 kills. Sophomore Sarah Cadwallader added six kills and senior middle blocker Keira Peoples contributed five kills.

Anna Bixler and Kim Wilson had 17 and 13 assists, respectively, for SRU.

Gannon improved to 15-5, 9-3.
