SRU SOCCER

BLOOMSBURG — Danielle Turner scored two goals Tuesday to lead the Slippery Rock University women's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Bloomsburg in the PSAC quarterfinals.

The Rock (13-3-3) is unbeaten in its last 12 games and avenged a 2-1 regular-season loss to the Huskies.

The fifth-seeded Rock will travel to top-seeded West Chester Friday for the conference semifinals. The winner of that match faces the California (Pa.)-Kutztown survivor for the PSAC title Saturday at West Chester.

With SRU trailing 1-0, Turner knotted the score in the 29th minute by converting a corner kick from Rachel Knapp. Turner notched the game-winner in the 68th minute.

Goalkeeper Dana O'Neill recorded four saves for SRU, improving her season record to 8-2-1.
