CALIFORNIA — Seneca Valley graduate and California (Pa.) University senior middle hitter Meghan Franz has been named Capital One First-Team Academic All-American in volleyball.

She was named third team Academic All-American last year.

Franz set the school record with 493 blocks this season and appeared in a program-best 525 sets in her career. She led the PSAC with a .363 hitting percentage this season.

Franz is carrying a 3.91 grade point average while pursuing a degree in secondary education with a concentration in biology.
