LOCK HAVEN — The 15th-ranked Slippery Rock University men’s soccer team improved to 9-1-1 overall Saturday night with a 3-1 win at Lock Haven.

The Rock, 4-1 in the PSAC, has won six straight games.

Stephen Donnelly scored the first half’s lone goal as SRU took a 1-0 lead into intermission. Declan Brennan and Slippery Rock High School graduate Michael Ramirez scored in the second half.

Rock goalkeeper Chris Zier lost his shutout bid in the game’s 85th minute as the Bald Eagles (4-7, 2-4) scored on a penalty kick. Zier made four saves in the game.

The Rock had a 12-8 edge un shots, 7-5 in shots on goal. SRU travels to Gannon for a 4 p.m. game Wednesday.
