BC3 softball splits doubleheader with CCBC
Butler County Community College split a women’s softball doubleheader with the Community College of Beaver County Wednesday afternoon.
BC3 won the nightcap 13-1 after losing Game 1, 15-14.
Kate Myers picked up the win in Game 2 for the Pioneers (2-5), allowing three hits and striking out eight.
Big hitters for BC3 (2-5) in Game 2 were Knoch graduate Karsan Simpson, who went 4 for 4 with 5 RBI, Butler grad Gabby Bottles, who drove in three runs and Shawna Black, who singled twice and doubled.
The Pioneers return to action Saturday, playing a noon doubleheader at Westmoreland CC.
