Butler, Bixby
A summer 2009 wedding is being planned by Davina Butler and Ryan Bixby, both of Mansfield, Ohio.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of JoAnn Spohn of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Lanty and Laurie Phillips of Austin.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Knoch High School; a 2004 graduate of Slippery Rock University, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in history; and a 2007 graduate of Ohio State University, where she earned a master's degree in African American and African studies. She is employed by the Girl Scouts of Heritage Trails Council in Mansfield.
Her fiancé graduated in 1996 from Smethport High School and from Slippery Rock University, earning a bachelor's degree in 2001 and a master's degree in history in 2004. He is currently enrolled in the University of Akron's doctoral program in history. He is employed at Estes Trucking Company.
