Givans, Sloan

A Dec. 31 wedding is being planned by Jessica Sloan of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., and Derek Givans of Freeport, Fla.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Linda Vander Zee Sloan of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., formerly of Butler, and the late Roger Sloan. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Don and Nancy Marden of Freeport, Fla.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Freeport High School. She works for Destin Real Estate Company, Blue Mountain Beach, Fla.

Her fiancé graduated in 1992 from Currituck County High School. He is a self-employed musician in the northwest Florida area.
