Cory Newton and Michelle Sanderson

An Oct. 4 wedding is being planned by Michelle Sanderson and Cory Newton, both of Tampa, Fla.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Bernadette Sanderson of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Tim and Jean Newton of Kerhonkson, N.Y.

The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Butler High School and a 2005 graduate of Duquesne University. She plans to finish her master's degree in December at St. Leo University. She works for the Lake Myrtle Elementary School in Land O' Lakes, Fla.

Her fiancé graduated in 1996 from Rondout Valley High School. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps in 2000 and works for Aflac Insurance Agency in Tampa.
