CHERRY TWP — Moniteau High School will present the musical "Oklahoma!" by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein at 7:30 p.m. March 13 and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. March 14 at the high school auditorium, 1810 West Sunbury Road.

Based on the 1931 play "Green Grow the Lilacs" by Lynn Riggs, the story centers around a romance in Oklahoma Territory in 1906 between cowboy Curly McLain and farm girl Laurey Williams.

The show is being directed by Gordon Cavalero and produced by Sherri Moore. Susan Edwards will do choreographic design, with artistic design by Heidi Wirtner and set construction by Curtis Wright. Mark Rodgers will be instrumental director, with Darcie Bishop and Lauren Groves as vocal directors, Dorinda Aigner as piano accompanist and Kyle Thompson and Cassidy Puryear as student directors. Vivian Groom will do properties, with Naomi Wagner and Cindy White on costumes, Kim Stoughton as stage manager, Beatrice Heck on makeup and Dave Straite on ticket sales.
