Betty Jane Stanford

Betty Jane (Duncan) Stanford, 91, of Prospect, passed away on Nov. 15, 2021, at her daughter's home.

She was born Dec. 8, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Kish) Duncan and Frank Duncan of Beaver Falls.

She leaves behind her daughter, Linda (Lynn) and her husband, Ron Hill, of New Castle; her sons, Howard (Hoot) Stanford and his wife, Margie, of Prospect, John Stanford and his wife, Debbie, of Prospect, and Steve Stanford of Pittsburgh; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed watching her soap operas, going out to lunch, and spending time with her family.

Betty was of the Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Irwin Duncan; her husband, Howard Stanford Sr.; her daughter, Melda (Stanford) Ayres; and her beloved cat of 16 years, “Kitty Cat.”

STANFORD — The family of Betty Jane (Duncan) Stanford, who died Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Harmony Baptist Church, 4103 Ellwood Road, New Castle.

Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Friday with Pastor Jeff McKay officiating.

Interment will be held in Portersville Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Route 19, in Portersville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to TURNER FUNERAL HOME, Ellwood City.
