Ralph Camus

Camus

Ralph Louis Camus, 70, of Spring Hill, Fla., and formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away on Feb. 5, 2022, after a brief illness.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Ralph was a graduate of North Catholic High School. He attended two years at the St. Fidelis Seminary in Herman, and later worked in restaurant management. His career path took him to the U.S. Postal Service, where he retired as a supervisor of the Bulk Mail Processing Center in Cranberry.

Ralph was also a dedicated, professional organist, who enjoyed playing during Catholic Mass services. For several years, before his retirement to Florida, he served as the director of music and as the building manager at St. Gregory Catholic Church in Zelienople. He was a man who was very generous and giving of his time and his resources.

Ralph was a lifelong Steelers fan, and he frequently shared his football insights and expert observations with others.

He was a loving brother to William Camus (Sue), Alfred A. Camus Jr. (Marge) and his twin sister, Mary Lou Micon (Rob).

Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred A. Camus Sr.; and his mother, Margaret Camus.

Ralph will always be remembered for his sweet smile, humble and gentle nature, engaging conversation, love of his pets, and his happiness with his retirement in Florida.
