Rachel Marie Allio

Rachel Marie Allio passed away May 7, 2021, early in the morning in her Slippery Rock home unexpectedly.

She was born Jan. 22, 1981, in Pittsburgh, and was the daughter of George and the late Sharon (Lauer) Sonnett.

She graduated from Moniteau Jr./Sr. High School in 1999. She became a mother soon after in 2002.

She was recognized as a member of the flag crew for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.

She enjoyed gardening and spending warm days outside with friends and family.

She is survived by her father, George, and her two daughters, Cassandra Allio and Alexis Allio, all of Slippery Rock; and her companion of over six years, Chad Porter of North Washington, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her Aunt Eileen; and her grandparents.

ALLIO — A memorial service to celebrate Rachel Marie Allio, who died Friday, May 7, 2021, will be held at a later date and location.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home of Slippery Rock.
