The manhunt continues for a suspect accused of ramming his car into the side of his father's porch while his father was still on it.

State police said they spotted Cody A. Isaacson, 27, of Slippery Rock in Prospect about 5:50 p.m. Thursday while trying to arrest him. But he fled into a wooded area on New Castle Road and avoided capture.

The Jackson Township Police search dog was later called in but did not locate Isaacson.

“We're still looking for him,” Troop D commander Capt. Steve Ignatz said this morning.

Isaacson was last seen wearing a blue flannel shirt with a black hat. He is believed to be in or around Prospect.

Police caution that the suspect could be armed and he is considered dangerous.

“We're actively looking for him,” Ignatz said, “and were following up all calls we get about him.”

Police obtained an arrest warrant Thursday for Isaacson on charges stemming from the Sept. 22 porch-ramming incident in Slippery Rock Township. He is charged with felony assault.

A day earlier, police said, he allegedly poured gasoline on his father and chased him around with a lighter.

The father apparently was not hurt in either incident.
