County players aid GCC baseball

GROVE CITY — Three Butler County baseball players figure to contribute to the Grove City College team this spring.

Cranberry Township resident and Eden Christian graduate Jesse Clary returns to the lineup as a fifth-year senior outfielder. He hit four home runs and scored 40 runs from the leadoff position in the batting order.

Junior left-hander Elijah White, a Zelienople resident and Portersville Christian graduate, is a potential starting pitcher for the Wolverines after going 3-1 in seven appearances in 2021, limiting opposing hitters to a .215 batting average. Cranberry Township resident and North Catholic graduate Robby Randolph, a senior, is a candidate for the bullpen.

Grove City won a program-record 28 games last year, including a 22-5 record in conference play.
