Former pastor charged in sex abuse case in Minnesota

A Butler County man who was a pastor at a Western Pennsylvania church for five years has been charged with criminal sexual conduct for allegedly abusing a minor in Minnesota.

Rick Diego Iglesias, 64, faces three counts of first-degree criminal sexual assault, including heightened charges because Iglesias held a position of authority over the victim, according to the Winona (Minn.) Post newspaper.

Records show Iglesias lives in Mars in Adams Township.

In late July, Winona police investigators interviewed the alleged victim, who reported that he or she was repeatedly abused and raped over roughly three years, from 2010 to 2012, according to the criminal complaint.

Iglesias served as the senior pastor at Winona's Pleasant Valley Church from 1994 to 2014. He more recently worked as a pastor at Orchard Hill Church in Wexford, where he resigned from in July after telling church leaders what happened in Minnesota, according to a Pittsburgh television station.
