Charles “Chuck” R. Fischer, 89, of McCandless Township passed away on Monday.

Chuck was the president and former owner of Fischer Office Products in Butler. He was also a salesman for the 3M Company for 28 years.

He was an avid fisherman, who taught each generation the joy of fishing.

May heaven surround him now with beautiful streams and waters to fish and Labrador Retrievers running in each field with him.

Chuck was the loving father of Janet (Fischer) Thompson and her husband, Michael, of Winchester, Va.; the proud grandpa of Katie Snyder, and her husband, Matt, of Warrenton, Va., Beth Thompson and her fiancé, Phillip Bumgarner, of West Virginia, and Allie Shrader and her husband, Jesse, of Woodstock, Va.

He was the son of the late Ralph and Mildred (Schwartz) Fischer; the husband of the late Anne K. (Van Kirk) Fischer; and brother of the late Barbara Frame.

He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Jean and Carol Fischer of McCandless Township.
