[naviga:h3]SRU grad works Broadway show[/naviga:h3]
SLIPPERY ROCK — A Slippery Rock University alumnus is part of the Tony Award-nominated show “Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812,” an offbeat pop opera based on Tolstoy’s “War and Peace.”
Jeff Feola, a 2007 SRU graduate, serves as associate company manager for the Broadway musical that opened Oct. 18 and stars Josh Groban and Denee Benton.
In his role, Feola is primarily responsible for managing payroll for the cast and crew and numerous other logistical concerns. He served in the same capacity for a number of other productions, including off-Broadway versions of “Natasha” and “39 Steps.”
Feola has served as a producer as well, including for the 2012 Broadway production of “Grace” which starred Paul Rudd.
His current Broadway musical has been recognized with 12 Tony nominations. Winners will be announced at 8 p.m. Sunday at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

MUDDY CREEK TWP — Watercolor Wednesdays, hosted by the Moraine Preservation Fund, will be from 10 a.m. to noon June 21, July 19 and Aug. 16.
The group will meet at McDanels Launch for a short walk to a spot to draw.
