Roland A. Meeder

Roland A. Meeder, 98, of Cranberry Township went home to be with the Lord Tuesday morning at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Cranberry Township, Sept. 28, 1919, he was the son of the late Harry and Angie Beers Meeder.

Roland was the maintenance superintendent for Methodist Church Union and Methodist Church Camp in Jumonville.

He was a member of Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry Township and had belonged to Cranberry Senior Citizens.

Surviving are a daughter, Judy (Ron) Sitler of Cranberry Township; four sons, Roy E. (Julie) Meeder of Mars, Harold W. (Susan) Meeder of Quinlan, Texas, Fred E. (Virginia) Meeder of Carrollton, Ohio, and Scott A. (Mary) Meeder of Monongahela, Pa.; a brother, Howard Meeder of Gibsonia; and 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Westerman Meeder, whom he married Oct. 9, 1940, and who died Dec. 4, 2000; and by two brothers, Laverne and Clyde Meeder.

MEEDER — Friends of Roland A. Meeder, who died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dutilh United Methodist Church, 1270 Dutilh Road, Cranberry Township. Please meet at the church.
