Helen Huffmyer

Helen M. Huffmyer, 84, of Butler passed away at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Saxony Health Center.

She was born on July 5, 1930, in Pittsburgh to the late Walter H. Dunlap and Mary Glasgow Dunlap.

Mrs. Huffmyer enjoyed going to church, being with her family, traveling and taking trips with Tanglewood.

She was formerly employed at West Penn Power and Star Lumber.

Mrs. Huffmyer was a former member of the Community Alliance and Freeport Alliance churches.

Mrs. Huffmyer is survived by her five sons, Edward W. Green and his wife, Carrie, of Fort Benton, Mont., Timothy A. Green, John P. Huffmyer and his wife, Carla, Walter G. Huffmyer and Lawrence R. Huffmyer, all of Butler; her nine grandchildren and one on the way; her five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Green; her second husband, Elmer E. Huffmyer, who she married on March 5, 1962, and who passed away on Sept. 4, 1983; her son, William Huffmyer; and her two brothers, Walter and Willard Dunlap.

Huffmyer— The friends of Helen M. Huffmyer, who passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Additional viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday with funeral services immediately following at 11 a.m. with the Pastor Deborah Huffmyer of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Saxonburg officiating. Burial will take place in the Mt.
