Online voters' services restored
While online voter registration and requests for mail-in ballots service have been restored, some state departments are still affected by an equipment failure that shut down several online services.
Online availability of the voters’ services was interrupted from late Saturday to early Monday morning.
A news release from the Pennsylvania Department of State reported that multiple agencies were affected by the outage, which occurred at the data center.
The release said the outage, which occurred due to an issue with the contractor’s equipment, was not the result of malicious interference and all data was backed up.
Online services for the departments of Revenue and Human Services and the state Liquor Control Board remain affected.
The Department of State’s professional licensing services are among that department’s applications that also remain affected.
Work is ongoing to restore all online services.
