Samuel Colpetzer
Samuel Robert Colpetzer, Laver Road, Greenville, Perry Township, passed away early Friday morning, Aug. 27, 2021, at the Cleveland Clinic following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 47.
He was born in Tyrone, Pa., on May 6, 1974, a son of Thomas Arthur and Karen Louise (Manges) Colpetzer.
Sam was a 1992 graduate of the Lawrence County Vo-Tech where he studied diesel mechanics. He possessed a special skill and knowledge that allowed him to fix most anything and was often able to be a problem solver when others were not able to find a resolution. He was a life long dairy farmer and most recently had been employed by CY Construction, Fredonia. He enjoyed the companionship of his dog, “Scruffy,” and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need.
He is survived by his father, Thomas A. (Amy) Colpetzer, Greenville; his mother, Karen L. (Joel) Roberts, Titusville; his siblings, Wendy (Jason) McCullough, Bicknell, Ind.; Angie (Caleb) Cooper, Slippery Rock; Sally Oakes, Jackson Center; and George Colpetzer, Greenville.
Colpetzer — Family and friends of Samuel Robert Colpetzer, who died Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 3223 Perry Highway, Sheakleyville.
The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Brock Henry of the Calvary Fellowship Chapel officiating.
Samuel will be laid to rest at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Fairview Township.
