Margaret Johns
Margaret C. “Peggy” Johns, 93, of Butler passed away Sunday at New Haven Court in Butler.
Born April 16, 1922, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Holt) Cramer.
She was a homemaker. Before her marriage, she was employed by the Lubersol Co. in Euclid, Ohio. She was a 1944 graduate of Duquesne University with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and a member of St. Paul Catholic Women and Christian Mothers. She was a member of the Butler Country Club Golf League, the A.A.U.W. and the Intermediate League. She enjoyed Ikebana, which is Japanese flower arranging, and was an avid bridge player. She was a volunteer for the Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Surviving are three daughters, Catherine “Cathy” (Dennis) Glasgow of Butler, Diane “Dinah” (Douglas) Kittredge of Oak Park, Ill., and Mary (David) McFarland of Butler; her granddaughter, Joan Margaret Kittredge; her step-granddaughter, Nicole Glasgow; and her nieces and nephews, including Thomas McBride, Mary Ellen Goff, Sheila McBride and Patricia McBride.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony G. Johns, who passed away Feb. 18, 2004; her brother, Oliver Cramer; and her sister, Patricia McBride.
JOHNS — Friends of Margaret C. “Peggy” Johns, who died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.
