Thelma R. Marsch
Thelma R. Marsch, 98, most recently of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2021.
She was born on Jan. 12, 1923, in Cabot, the eldest child of Susan (Verba) Mootsey of Czechoslovakia, and George Mootsey of Genoa, Italy.
She was a 1941 graduate of Winfield Township High School of Cabot. Later in life, she resided in Butler, Huntsville, Ala., and Clearwater, Fla.
Thelma is survived by four brothers, Robert, George Jr., Jim and Victor.
She is also survived by two daughters, Patricia (Marsch) Marshall of Mahaffey, Pa., and Elizabeth (Marsch) Heller of West Chester, Ohio; four grandchildren, Ronald Marshall, Michael Burrelli, Shawna Sholtis and Thor Heller; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin A. Marsch; her son, Erwin Marsch; and her grandson, Erwin Anton Marshall.
During much of her life, Thelma loved creating art, specializing in watercolors. While living in Butler, she was an active member of the Butler County Associated Artists organization, and frequently exhibited at the Arts Center on Main Street. She was also a voracious reader, with thousands of read books listed in her journal. Later in life, she found peace and pleasure observing nature, particularly the birds that were attracted to her feeders.
MARSCH — A private service and ash scattering for Thelma R. Marsch, who died Thursday, June 10, 2021, will be held in Clearwater/Tampa, Fla.
Arrangements were handled by Advantage Cremation Care of Greater Cincinnati, Loveland, Ohio.
