The Butler County Government Center will be closed Monday in observance of Columbus Day and classes are not being held at most school districts in the county.

All offices in the government center will be closed Monday.

Classes are not being held at the South Butler County, Karns City Area, Freeport Area, Slippery Rock Area and Moniteau school districts, but in-service days for teachers are being held in some of the districts.

Classes will be in session at the Butler Area, Mars Area and Seneca Valley school districts.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said all driver’s license and photo centers in the state will be closed.

Butler Transit Authority is operating its local bus service and the commuter service to Pittsburgh.

The Butler Area and Cranberry public libraries will be closed.
