CHICORA — A woman riding a motorcycle hit a guard rail and suffered injuries around 5 p.m. Saturday, according to Oneida Valley Fire assistant chief Paul Patten.

The woman, of Gibsonia, was on Chicora Road near O'Donnell's Beer Distributor heading toward Butler.

She drove around a corner and the motorcycle slid on gravel, causing her to hit the guard rail and suffer moderate leg injuries.

The woman, in her early 40s, was wearing a helmet. She was transferred to Butler Memorial Hospital by East Butler Ambulance.

Oneida Valley Volunteer Fire Department, Chicora Volunteer Fire Department and state police also responded.
