John Orloski

John Orloski

John P. Orloski, 79, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, while under the care of Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born March 17, 1941, in Herman, he was the son of the late William J. Orloski and Stella T. Birckbichler Orloski.

John worked for Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad and the Pullman Standard in his early years. He was the owner-operator of the Mount Chestnut Car Wash, Mount Chestnut Driving Range and Golf Course, Mount Chestnut Mini Putt and Batting Cages, and Ski Mini Storage, until his retirement in 2013. He also worked as an excavator for 42 years.

John was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 64 in Lyndora and Lodge 54 in Butler. In his free time, John loved to golf, hunt and spend time at his hunting camp in Rockton. He also enjoyed playing scratch-off lottery tickets, going to the casino, and playing poker with his buddies. Above all, John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Fayme “Toot” Lasichak Orloski; his sons, Douglas P. Orloski Sr., (Tammy) of Butler, Bradley C. Orloski (Jamie) of Murrysville and Wade T. Orloski (Natasha) of Knoxville, Tenn.; his stepchildren, Samuel L. Duffy (Beth) of Surprise, Ariz., Edward J. Duffy (Traci) of Saxonburg and Terri L. Edgar of Butler; his grandchildren, Dr. Clinton J. Orloski, Douglas P. Orloski Jr. (Allison), Derrick L. Orloski (Tawni), Matthew L. Edgar (Kayla), Austin J. Duffy (Ava), Kevin A. Duffy (Nikki), Alex C. Duffy, Rachel Green and Abigail Orloski; his great-grandchildren, Hudson and Carson Orloski, Brynnley Edgar and Eleanora Duffy; his brothers, Robert Orloski, Kenneth Orloski (Patty) and Donald Orloski (Jean), all of Butler; his sisters, Phyllis Steighner (Earl) of Davidson, N.C., Janet Lyndon (Tom) of Cabot, Mary Otero (Joseph) of Apopka, Fla., and Joann Lindstrom (Tim) of Cabot; his sisters-in-law, Jane Bates and Jean Lasichak; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, John E. Orloski; his siblings, William F. Orloski and Germaine Voelker; his son-in-law, Mark Edgar; his brothers-in-law, Ronald W. “Duke” Lasichak and William Bates; and his sisters-in-law, Karen Weichey and MaryAnn Orloski.

Orloski — Funeral services for John P. Orloski, who died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, are private.

He will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery, next to his son.

Arrangements were entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.
