Quest doesn't 'restore faith'
Rep. Mike Kelly claims his main concern for trying to decertify Pennsylvania’s presidential tally was to “restore faith” in the election system. (Butler Eagle, front page, Jan. 11.)
I find that interesting, since a few days before the election, on Oct. 30, I received an “urgent” e-mail from Rep. Kelly with helpful, nonpartisan voting instructions for Butler County residents.
The email spelled out the steps to take to make sure your mail-in ballot would be counted. There was no mention that mail-in voting was unconstitutional or that Rep. Kelly would file several lawsuits after the election, and after his preferred candidate lost, to have mail-in ballots disqualified.
How am I to “restore faith” in a representative who would encourage me to properly vote by mail before an election and then, less than a month later, assert that if I followed his advice my vote was unconstitutional and must be tossed in the garbage?
